No Less Days (No Less Days #1) by Amanda G. Stevens

My rating: 4.5/5

A delectably engrossing novel, No Less Days by Amanda G. Stevens, is an engrossing story with elements of speculative fiction and an immersive plot of mystery, suspense, and intrigue.

David Galloway has lived a life of many years, in more ways than one could imagine. His reality consists of over a century of accumulated memories, mournful losses, and a surrendering to a simple and rather seclusive way of life. David cannot die. This fact has convinced David that he is the only person with the inability to die. This all changes when he meets a celebrity stuntman, Zachary Wilson, who received recent media attention surrounding his survival of a fatal fall from a canyon. David is stunned to discover that what the public perceives as a miraculous event is not so. Zachary too cannot die. While processing this astounding fact, David meets a small group of others who also cannot die. This revelation and his newfound friends, leads him into a whirlwind of acceptance, humility, restoration, and camaraderie. Troubling events begin to occur which leads David to turn to his faith in Christ as an anchor for guidance and wisdom.

Written with enthralling characters and an intriguing plot of mystery and suspense, No Less Days is a thrilling page-turning novel. Set during the modern era, with some references of past time periods, the story has elements of surprise that keeps the reader engaged in the plot. The inclusion of Christian faith content was encouraging, with the main character and another secondary character depicted as believers who have a personal relationship with Christ, relied on their faith, and reflected on their thoughts of humanity under the concept of Christian morale. I especially enjoyed the inclusion of a secondary character who was of a minority race. This added a relatable component to the story. Ultimately, I really enjoyed this novel, and I am looking forward to reading book two in the series.
