Line of Fire by Taylor S. Newport is an exhilarating, heart-pounding, debut Christian thriller novel that relentlessly grips the reader from the beginning to the very end.
This provocative and high intensity novel is paired with enthralling main characters Tyler Reid and Alexandra “Alex” Romanova as well as other secondary characters that enjoyably accompanies the entertaining plot of the story. Tyler Reid is a relentlessly fierce and skilled Australian mercenary, who has accepted a mission to protect a doctor in danger of attack over a revolutionary drug she has created. When the mission becomes deadly, Tyler discovers rogue plans that threaten his life and the life of others. While on a journey to fulfilling a promise he made to the doctor, he meets an undercover foreign operative, Alexandra. She is confronted with an unexpected urge to divulge secrets that could hinder a dangerous underground governmental group and may place them both in grave danger. With an acquired unwillingness to trust others, both Tyler and Alex are met with pivotal life decisions that could alter their course of life and seek to revitalize their faith in God.
Line of Fire is a fast-paced novel with interesting characters. The novel is plot driven and includes some aspects of Christian faith content that depicts characters who are reliant on their faith and grow in their spiritual convictions. The novel ends with an exciting cliff hanger that provokes anticipation of the next book in the series. There are some content warnings in the plot, including violent scenes of fighting and murder, however I thought that it made the story more authentic and exhilarating. If you enjoy action packed Christian thrillers, you will enjoy this one.
