From Sky to Sky (No Less Days #2) by Amanda G. Stevens

My rating: 4/5

From Sky to Sky by Amanda G. Stevens is the second book in the three-part book series No Less Days. This intriguing series is categorized as speculative Christian fiction and follows a group of immortal humans as they navigate life as significantly different beings and how their Christian faith evolves with this truth.

From Sky to Sky reacquaints readers of book one in the series to Zac Wilson who was one of the secondary characters in the first book. New readers to the series will not feel misplaced concerning the plot and characters, as author Stevens sufficiently summarizes them in this book. Zac provides the point of view narrative in the story and is also the main character of the novel. Well known as a celebrity stuntman, Zac reaches a significant crossroad in his life, in which he confronts several events of his past that have drastically impacted him. When he discovers another immortal, whose troubled life could immensely affect the other immortals in his life, he is left with the possibility of helping the recently discovered immortal as well as face the traumas in his past that maintain a strong grip on his mental health and abandoned belief in God. Readers witness the power of the restorative love of Jesus that poignantly transformations his life and its impactful influence upon the other characters.

This plot and character driven tale is written with a fast place narrative in a modern setting. Several characters in book one reappears in this story, with some new characters introduced as well. Although there are some aspects of speculative fiction in the story, the Christian faith content was impeccably captured within the plot. It was inspiring to witness the process that Zac went through, as he stopped running from his belief in God to rededicating his life to Christ. Although I enjoyed book one a little better than this book, due to Zac’s annoying compulsive nature, I was quite pleased with this story. I’m looking forward to reading book three in the series. If you like novels with interesting characters, second chance tropes, and elements of redemption, you will enjoy this book.
